I'm thinking of adding them to my van too...I would just use stainless 1/4"-20 x 1/2" or 3/4" bolts for the studs, should fit behind the weather strip and allow the door to close, the heads aren't too thick (or grind them down). You could also use brass toilet mounting T-head bolts cut down, I think they are 5/16" size and they sell them separate and in stainless too....I may try those myself.

I bought screws configured the same as the factory for the lower mounting on ebay (one difference they are SS). Drop me a PM if you want me to get the specs (I am not home right now).
