West Coast Mirror Glass.????

OK Guys I did a stupid thing not the first time.!!!!!  I was washing the glass on my mirrors on my Van with wind-ex and I dropped the paper towel in our Sand Filled State and did not even think .(DUM ASS).picked it up and contiued to wipe of my mirror to my surprise I scratched the SHIT out of it ON the drivers side.@$#%&@. SO if anyone has the glass for the drivers side or the whole mirror head let me know (ASAP) I have some ..1 ST Gen and some 2ND GEN small parts FOR TRADE only (I can not put a price on theses parts).OR if someone has a set of factory Chevy West Coast mirrors that they are willing to part with I have a set of swan neck mirrors gaskets screws complete that look NEW they have chrome mirrors with black powder coated neck and bases. I will trade and split shipping.!!!! .My mirror's are 6x11. I was on E bay and other sites all day yesterday and no luck 5x10...7x16...6x16...6x18...I seen hundreds of west coast mirrors not one was 6x11 with the 3 ribs on the back.The local glass shop does not have any smoked glass mirror witch means I will have to replace both sides with regular mirrored glass. SO any advice would be appreciated......THANKS...............JOE VAN...............

I think maybe you have Jr West Coast mirrors? Check with this place....

I don't know if they will have the exact fit but I do know they have a 6x10 with the 3 ribs. Maybe they have other sizes or the 6x10 mirrors might work. Please note I'm not saying & I don't know that you have Jr West Coast Mirrors or not I just read in a post maybe here or maybe not that someone bought a set for their van. I hope they can help you out or maybe someone else might know a source to get the ones that you need.

  Thanks for the heads up HandiVanMan I will check it out today.Here is a picture of the mirrors I want to trade they look better in person the flash was on.Gman I will try another glass shop tommrow. On the good side I switched the headlight switch wires and now my front parking lights come on with my headlights......

I checked out dix and handivans leads thanks guys but all they have is 6x10 or 6x16 same style just not the 6x11 that mine measure.Mine are defently jr west coast but they are a odd size. .I may just have to put new glass in both of them so they match each other if I cant find what I am looking for.!!!!. The mirrors I have on the van now came stock from the factory.(I think). I took the swan neck ones off.

i have 1 stainless mirror, 6" x 11". it does have a couple small dings. got it at a swap meet thinking it matched mine, 6" x 10"

THANKS for the reply jirnaman I really dont care too much about the houseing I just need the glass but it has to be in GOOD shape no scraches or discoloring and has to have the rounded edges and not the square ones. If so what do you want to trade for it for your Van off my table of goodies.

do you have a 6 x 10 ? or what else do you have to trade? i really dont have much in it, you would do much better to sell the swan neck mirrors and send me a couple bucks to cover shipping. p.m. me your cel number and i will text a pic. cant post pics right now.

Joe, Got a few pairs of  stock WC mirrors if you still looking. Do you  just want the mirror heads with glass(easer to ship than the wole mirror, with arms) I would be into trade

hey man got my 66 chevy in body shop taking the old mirrors off what kind of mirrors can I put on in their place by using the same holes in door??

Hello Rick you can use either the west coast mirrors that alot of Van's came with or the swan neck mirrors that I have pictured 1 page back with the short arms or you can use the ones off a 1966 chevy pick up they look simular to the swan neck mirrors but stick out farther. You can see what the longer ones look like on ebay parts and acceories. They will all bolt in the factory 3 hole mount in the door's. You can buy the truck ones all day long but the shorter Van ones are very hard to find from what I am being told from everyone........................

Okay dumb question maybe but did you take the mirror head apart? I am in the middle of rebuilding a stock set right now and when I got them apart I was pleasantly surprised to find that the glass is mirrored on both sides! Just flip it over and you've got mint glass!!

NO Optik THANKS.... I will try that this weekend I was too focused on replacing the whole mirror head if it works than I have a mint spare. I have been working on my back doors all week repairing the inner panel dents and latches so I can start installing the wood door panels.............
