Nice of the seller to post this shot of the instructions. Complete with dimensions showing where to drill the holes for the nozzles! (Same for both sides, I presume.)
Click for larger view:
These are "clips" that hold the nozzle in the hole. I think it also acts as a clamp to hold the hose onto the nozzle.

I did not get the bag, got the pump motor washer, wiper arm brackets. I have not decided to move forward on that project. To much unknown work to be safe for me to attempt.
These are also used to mount the Chevrolet script on the rear cargo door if you've got a door that doesn't have the slot to access nuts on the backside. That's how mine came.

Re: GMC Jacke's van
Can someone explain the idea of pop out windows in the rear doors?
From my experience in Panel Vans (Sedan Deliveries to you Guys) if the tailgate is open the exhaust fumes come in the back when moving.
Opening, or pop outs on the side of the car arranged so they open from the front (like an old VW Kombi) allowed fresh air flow but no exhaust fumes.
We were not allowed to have side exhausts to try and get rid of the fumes and opening windows on the rear of a vehicle is not legal in Australia.

My exhaust pipes are side mounted. I think it is good to be able to open them even just parked though...
Just met some nice folks from Australia... the gent gave me a Kina coin form Papou New Guinea.

Jacke,
There are 24,000,000 of us down here and 4,500,000 in my home City!
Don't expect to bump him but if he's a Vanner there is a chance.
We're in Hawaii for New Year and hopefully back in the States in 2018 for Route 66.
Your van is coming along nicely.
There wouldn't be more than 100 of all three early vans combined in Australia. Although I've seen one of each down here over the last 18 months.

Re: GMC Jacke's van
My van is a panel without rear windows. A Previous owner cut in a roof hatch. I replaced it with a nice new RV one. I crank it up in hot weather and it does the job, really sucks the air through while driving. They also make them with 12V fans if you want it to exhaust while parked. Good alternative to rear pop-out rear windows.

Wait a minute Rich...are we supposed to feel bad for you in Hawaii??? I'll swap places with you in a heartbeat after shoveling 10 inches of snow yesterday...looks like you came up with a cardboard kneepad to take care of the discomfort, now just unstick the caliper and sip on a Mai-Tai down by the water and say Aloha to the Humu-Humu-Nuku-Nuku-Apu'A- A!!! !!!

I hate to say it but those look like 3rd Gen pop-outs. Those are the latches I wanted to see if I could adapt to work on mine, since it's impossible to find 1st Gen pop-out latches that aren't rusty. Have you compared the measurements of the glass...?

Re: GMC Jacke's van
Ok, Vanny, I see your point. Not going to get any sympathy while in Hawaii from any of you guys living with real winter weather.
But I had this other photo, a close-up showing you just how evil this lava rock—spawned from the bowels of the earth—really is!!!
Man, we had so many things go wrong while doing this simple caliper swap! Turns out a friend had already replaced the caliper a few months ago and now it had already failed again! I decided we weren't going to just replace it again and hope for the best. He told me that both times the caliper locked up on him (the old one and now the new one) the wheel was too hot to touch. And that grease had oozed out of the little cap on the hub. Yes, this caliper was now seized up on the rotor like the other one did, but something else had to cause that much heat to build up. When we finally got it removed, we spun the rotor, trying to see if it was warped. Couldn't tell. We looked at the bearings and they were not pitted but there were scratches on them. I insisted he spring for all three: caliper, rotor and bearings. Several other little hurdles came up, causing me to extend my trip a few more days, but in the end it worked! Well, as far as I know. I left the next day!

Re: GMC Jacke's van
Jacke came to my house today. I had a couple spare stock seat brackets she needed to help adapt her Audi seats. We were still missing one but she had a beefy "L" bracket she'd bought and we beat it into shape on my vise.
And, you're never going to believe this, I was actually working on MY VAN! Jacke can vouch for me! I'll post some photos on my thread when I get time.

Re: GMC Jacke's van
So what about her windows,,,,,,,do they have real hinges built on the frame so they can be cut down to fit? What about that caliper,,,,,,,,did you check if the master cylinder, brake hose or proportioning valve is causing the lock up by seeing if opening the brake bleeder to release the pressure, frees up the rotor?

Re: GMC Jacke's van
I am still working on the van, although the rain, my back and life seem to have other ideas! Below are some photo of the Doghouse transformation. I got it from the junkyard, cut it out then cut out my Box.
You can see the entire ordeal on other pages. But here is some fun... Cut, Welded & Powder Coated the motor box satin black! Put in down with 2" x 1/4 " rubber gasket and 1/4-20 bolts.
Putting at least a seat into the van today!
Finished product is great!

Re: GMC Jacke's van
How did you put the 1/4 20 bolts in? Are they attached to the doghouse or floor or do you need a second person for over/under tightening?

I threaded insets for the attachment to the floor. The rubber helped fill/level any parts of the lip that were not flush, not bad for a junkyard buy. Nice rubber worked well. The difference in the noise level is huge with the correct size doghouse and gasket in place. I appreciate the offer of help! As you know... I am just a beginner and need HELP!
I also added a cool original switch under the dash for the belly fan and the reverse lights. Getting the seats into place today. I will see you this weekend at the Old Car swap perhaps?
