    Intake gasket Empty Intake gasket

Post by dougtappan Wed Apr 20, 2016 6:51 pm

OK guys now I'm confused. I bought a Felpro intake/exhaust gasket for my Jasper rebuilt 250 I6. When I got the engine back it came with a gasket kit. Heres the kicker, the Felpro gasket has the " waffle " side against the manafold but the Jasper kit has the "waffle" side against the motor. The Jasper kit has a third gasket that is the same on both sides..... I need some guidance as to what is the correct way to install the gasket.

Wait for more input but when I did mine last year, I thought the waffle side went against the motor...

I called Felpro this morning and talked to a Tech Rep..... He said the "waffle" side goes toward the Manifold. His explanation was that the most movement will be on the manifold side and the "waffle" side was to keep the "moving " side sealed. All I know is what he told me.
