the van runs swell, a few minor carb adjustments as far as air/idle and throttle position quiet the old 6 right down. but since i've owned the '67 its made a hissing noise! well i found where the hissing noise came from in my conquests this morning. what i can't find, is where this vacuum line is supposed to go. what does it do and does it serve a purpose? when i put my finger over the end of the rubber hose, the idle seems to even out? have a look and leave me feedback/answers? i outlined the outlet and hose with a thin yellow line

Re: Elusive vacuum HISS discovered!
If it has vacuum all the time,,,,,it is for the modulator on an auto trans,,,,,,the PCV should go right into the intake manifold,,,,,,,the distributor needs a ported vacuum signal that only comes on when you step on the gas pedal,,,,,,lots of vans have any old carbs on them now,,,,,,
