    Howdy all,

Got a phone call today from a mate - about an Econoline for sale in the local advertising rag. I had heard that one existed in this town many years ago by some of the old car guys, but had never seen the evidence.

Rang the number, van sold - but I could come and see it before the van was collected by the new owner.

Sadly the van was a bucket of snot. Badly converted to right hand drive (like all cars used to have to be here in the old days) and customised ........... where all of the uniquely nice Econoline bits were removed.

But the new owner reckons he's going to sort it out and return it to the original form - except for a better powerplant.

    Enjoy......

Crusher my butt! Its the fugly ones I get all the parts off of for you guys. Its rare when I crush any van. Normally theres a lot of good panels to be cut off but there are a few that do meet their maker in the crusher. That one there has all kinds of good parts on it still.

    Howdy all,

Thought I'd give an update on this one.

Spend some of the day today stripping worthwhile bits of this van before it goes to the scrap metal man. The owner rightly figured that it was better to import a less molested van (which he has subsequently done)and wreck this pig.

Salvaged a late doghouse and engine mount/cradle for a future V8 transplant in my van.

    Sweet.

    Regards,
    Rhys

that would be a lot of time to change every thing to a right handed van.
