Looking for opinions as to what you guys consider the best front tire width (205/215/225/235 etc) works best with our A100 that do not have power steering. For ease of steering and handling. By the way I have 15x7 rims. I just can't come to a decision about this.

Van has 205's on all four corners now, front 70's series radial with the rear having studded snow tires, not my doing, it is the way it came, but will be shod with 205/75-15 front and 235/75-15 rear all mounted on steel rally wheels when the beast gets closer to hitting the road.

I'm sort of unsure if going to 225/70/15 is a bit too big in the front for ease of stop/slow moving steering. I may need to decide soon, cause discount tire direct usually has a great sale around second week in February.

235/60 15 on 15/7 no problems and my 100 lbs teenager can drive it.

I put the 14's on the front to make it easier to turn...plus the front sits a little lower against the wind... lol

I have 265/50/15 on the front with a 7" rim and 275/60/15 on 8" in the rear. I think it looks pretty darn good and steering doesn't seem to be terrible considering I have a small aftermarket steering wheel. Hope this helps.

On my '69 high top A108 I had 235/75-15 on all four corners. With my '70 Sportsman 108 I have 215-75/15 all around. The 215's are definitely easier to turn, but as long as you're moving more than a few mph it's not an issue either way.

I went with 225/70/15. Thanks for all the input.
