I may have asked before and can't find it. I need to know what the measurement is from forward face of the frame crossmember w/ the trans hanger to the center line of the motor mount brackets on the frame in a 65-67? There's a reference on the hamb forum to 32" from the crossmember to the cL of the aft bolt. But I have reason to believe this is wrong.

If anyone with a 65 or later could take the time to measure this for me I would greatly appreciate it. I need to weld the brackets back in and need some verification of accuracy. I wasn't to worried about it until I remounted the radiator support and took some measurements from the block. It's tight, stock it's tight.

    Thank You

It says "The early cross members (61-64) measure 32" from the center of the rear cross member bolt on the frame to the front face of the transmission frame cross member" 65-67 measure 38 5/16". On my 67 I measure a little over 38"...

Yes sorry, 38 5/16. And yours measures around the same or slightly less to the cL of the aft bolt or to the cL of the bracket? Thanks for the help Carl

After looking at my buddies '65 to look at the parking brake setup, I've come to realize that they moved the frame crossmember above the transmission rearward several inches on the 65-67 vans. The correct measurement for the engine x-member frame mounts should be around 33 1/2" from the earlier trans crossmember to the rear edge of the engine mount, or 3.5" from the forward edge of the spring mount to the rear edge of the engine bracket.

Or just move the bracket forward 2" to be at the later mounting point. I knew something wasn't right about that 38" figure.
