Rear brake wheel cylinders ? Empty Rear brake wheel cylinders ?

Post by rustytoolss Sat Dec 26, 2015 11:42 am

I was just checking price and advalibty  for rear brake wheel cylinders. So there are very few places to get them. And whats with the price ? $26-44 ea ?
I'm sure that there is another wheel cylinder that will fit and work correctly. Most wheel cylinders are about $10 or less. And most mopar cylinders will interchange in the backing plates (MOST).
So whats so special about these ?  Has anyone found rear cylinders that will interchange, at a cheaper price ?

Rear brake wheel cylinders ? Rear_w10
I replaced them on the rear of an A100 PU i had for bit, a few years ago now . I think I ended up getting them that would fit a 66 PU truck, A100 was 13/16" and I believe the D100s were 7/8. I'm sure the guys would know better but it could be an option when looking.

That's what I was looking for. A possible interchange. Everything I've seen said that the rear cylinders on an A100 are 13/16. I'm sure that going to 7/8 would no create a problem. Thanks

Get 1 and try it for fit Rusty. My memory isn't quite as reliable as I'd like it to be.
