Replacement Glove Box Door. Empty Replacement Glove Box Door.

    Post by Gribbsy68 Thu Nov 12, 2015 5:23 am

    Hi All,

This is my first post after joining last month. I am striping down my 1965 6 door Econoline with windows to convert into a camper van. Nothing unusual hear you may say but I am living in Halifax, Yorkshire, England. I am looking at replacing the padded rubber glove box door with an earlier metal door as I am looking for a cleaner line on the dash board, does anyone have one available? if one is available in UK that would be ideal but think I may be too optimistic.

I am also interested in replacing the two fixed side windows with the hinged out type. Is this possible and any ideas where I can find one or two pairs.

All the windows, rubber door seals and window felts are also going to be replaced. I am aware of the supplies from MAC but any recommended alternatives would be of interest.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    P.S. Great Web site!

    Hi,

Bought my front door seals, vent window seals, rolldown window seal and popout window seals from Tim Brogan (best fitting) @ 61-67 econoline facebook forum.
The rest of the seals i ordered at Dennis Carpenter.
Not sure Mac is shipping overseas.

    Good luck!!!

P.S. same problem over here for finding parts, i'm from the Netherlands...

Gribbsy, first of all, Welcome to the Best Vintage Van site on the planet!!! There are a few members on this site who have Econoline parts available and I'm sure they'll chime in soon for you. Tim, EconoUSAparts and Bruce, Bruce67Econoline are two members who specialize in Econoline parts and will probably respond to this post. If you haven't already posted this request in the "E Parts Wanted" section, that will probably get you a quicker response from those two or someone else who might have the parts you're looking for. Hope this helps!!! Very Happy

Here's a link to some Econo Vendors besides MAC's...
