by Guest Sun Sep 13, 2015 11:12 amI have found a glove box door and the cardboard box for my 1st gen but am wondering if there is a bezel that fits in the hole of the dash that the cardboard box screws onto and the hinge for the glove box door screws onto also. looking at mine I just have a hole that is stamped out in the dash. looking at some dash pics on this site it appears as there is some sort of bezel. Am not sure if that bezel was built in when the dash was stamped from the factory or it has been ground off to accommodate a flat customized dash face that runs the entire width of the dash that is on the van right now. If it does have a bezel, I would need one if anyone has one they are willing to part with. Any help on this is appreciated. Thanks

On the left is what is supposed to be there for the glove box to fasten to. Sounds like they removed some metal.

I made my box out of metal so it really can hold my stuff,,,,,,,

Thanks Digz and Donivan65 for the picks . Correct on the metal removal.Might be a difficult fix trying to make an outside lip and an inside tab to screw on the glove box and have it look ok and line up to close.
