Re: Saw it from the road..
Oh I will, just might be a few weeks before I’m down that way again. I took the picture from across a field, but couldn’t see the road to their house. As I was figuring it out the rest of the car let it be known that they had no interest in meeting the owner.
Next time I’ll leave them at home..

Re: Saw it from the road..
I finally made it back over to the area, and this Ford Pickup is still sitting in the same spot. Nobody was home, but I left a note on the door telling them if their interested in restoring or selling it to call me, or visit this site.

Re: Saw it from the road..
Yeah, I thought about that about 30 miles down the road. But, to be honest, I can't take on another project right now, it would be my listing it on here. Of course if the price is right I wont be able to say no..
I just hope something comes of it, I sure hate to see one going to waste.

Re: Saw it from the road..
The owner of this pickup called me today.
He said he isn’t interested in selling it, but wants to fix it up. I told him about the site, and what a great resource it will be for him, hopefully he finds his way here.
I got a little background on it, but will wait to see if he shows to tell his own story.

Re: Saw it from the road..
He said he bought it about three years ago, but hasn’t been able to spend time on it yet. When he got it there was a tree growing up through it, and the inline 6 had been pulled to install a 280, but they did a bad job welding in the new motor mounts. It also had a heavy steal frame in the bed used for hauling cattle. Although he removed the frame, the bed is all stomped in from cattle hooves. The tailgate was pulled from another pick-up.
No dually under there, just a shadow.
He welcomed me to stop by again to get a better look.
