So I got this idea the other day I plan to use 3/16 corrugated plastic panel. It wont hold any moisture, light wieght, rigid. My plan is to buy 60"x120" sheets to do the cieling in one piece I will have to plastic weld a butt joint for the last couple inches. That is the key........ I hope.... to all this is that I can plastic weld all my parts, extention jams for windows, locking tabs on back of panels, speaker pods and arch panels with ease. I just won a plastic welder on ebay list night waiting for that and then im going to start the process.

Re: Interior idea
Keep us posted and please post pics. I was thinking something similar but have not pulled the trigger. I plan on investigating materials used in the sign business to see if any would work. Good luck!

Re: Interior idea
Just amagine being able to fab anything you want within reason. Here are the specs that got me hooked on the idea..... Manufactured from 100% Virgin polypropylene plastic.
Why settle for inferior (partly) recycled plastic, when our price is better?
Brighter , more vibrant colors-Guaranteed to make an impression.
Water \ grease\ dirt\ (most) chemicals resistant.
Lightweight , yet stronger than corrugated cardboard\ fiberboard.
Reusable. Can be used many times unlike most other materials.
Can be printed on easily and clearly.
Corona treated – to ensure better adhesion of ink, most adhesives.
U.V treated- Better longevity outdoors.
Large stock of standard sizes+ Any custom size can be made in 1-3 days.
Won't rust, rot, mildew or corrode.
Can be scored, creased, stapled, nailed, stitched, folded & drilled.
Suitable for: Adhesive vinyl application, die cut, sonic & heat welding.
Environmentally friendly- can be recycled.

I especially like the "Corona treated" part....lol. Anything soaked in beer has to be good.

Re: Interior idea
Sounds OK, can it take impact without denting? Things always hit the walls loading and driving a van. I used plastic fake wainscot on my roof from Lowes, same thickness but comes in 7" wide slats you piece together and long enough to fit between the bows without extra seams. They have similar plastic paneling.

Re: Interior idea
I will for sure send pics.Well I wacked my test panel with a hammer a couple times it held up but will it if fastened to the joists? Im not sure it is pretty durable though wont tare or splinter like wood but I could puncher it Im sure. I just picked up a 65 camper to pull my plan is to use it there aswell weight being an advantage in that project as for moister resistant aswell . I really think Im on to something. Just really waiting on welder as to try and fabricate with it looking like around monday I will get it .Yess.......cant wait to try it....

Is this stuff bendable in both directions? Were you able to buy less than 10 sheets?

Re: Interior idea
Isn't this material the same material that is used for vinyl printed signs used for roadway advertising by contractors and business to draw attention to drivers? Political campaign sign material? If so, it bends pretty easily. Just curious.
