I knew i had a leaky manifold gasket. So this AM i pulled off the exhaust manifold. Not to bad of a process, but once I got it out the fun began. The mounting surfaces are totally shot. There are big hunks missing and all. Plus the center post under the carb is cracked in half. So where should i I get a new manifold or what route should i take. The price range is from $100 on up for a cast manifold. OR there are headers for around $ 189 but it will also require some exhaust modification. What have you all been doing to your vans???

Re: 64 Exhaust Manifold
I picked up one of those Header sets for my 65 truck, and yes it will need some adjustments.
My engine is an 80 200 with the low mount starter and the extentions will not clear the starter, also they end up being awful close to the dog house at the floor level. I have the dog house clearance taken care of but not the starter issue.

Yeah after looking at those pics a stock style manifold will be the way to go. I am looking to get the van back in running order before i head back out west. NOW to find a manifold. I know MACS sells them but they have screwed up my order the 3 times I've ordered from them.
