Dude, yer still 'pushing' 60, just wait until you are 'pulling' 60 like me! LOL nice work and enjoy the ride!m1dadio wrote:Thanks for all the great praise everybody. I am really happy to get it to this stage. But I'm feeling my age. Mounted that bodyin an afternoon and I was just beat, had to have a hot bath and acouple scotch then slept like a stone. I am still sore three days later. My 22 year old son was impressed. His words to me were, "Holy cow for 57 years old you are still kicking ass!" LOL!

Re: body work and paint
Love the rotisserie. I've been wanting to do that to an Econoline for years. It sure helps getting the bottom looking as nice as the top. Can't wait to see this one done.

Re: body work and paint
looks great. reassembly is on the down hill slide. what about a different color stripe to brake it up, although chris / gman's van looked to be the same color and it looked really nice.

Re: body work and paint
Looking GREAT!!!
I hope everything fits back together for you well. Chase any threads with taps/dies before assembly.
Will there be bodywork on the top before paint? Be sure to allow time once the latches and hinges are in for the seals to be glued on and the doors shut so they set up properly.
Also, if it's catalyzed paint (fully 'sets up' quickly) it is time to wax/seal the bottom while it's still up on it's side before stuff goes back on. It will make keeping it clean much easier! If it's regular enamel or lacquer, talk to the painter about how long to wait before waxing. Usually a month or more...
You want to wait to assemble too, since the paint is a lot easier to damage when curing.
Now all the parts gotta be nice under there too.
