what is a good electric fuel pump for a 240 motor auto trans.mine seems to start hard when cold. use starter fluid once . it starts and starts all day long. thanks d.t.

hows the choke & acclerator pump in that carb?? usually an electric pump is NOT needed!! esp. if mechanical pump is good!!??

depending on where u installed that electric pump?? could cause problems- elect pumps are all =pushers -need to be installed very near / at fuel tank area!! they act as pushers not pulling fuel . what exactly is the year van, size engine?? rock auto has the mechanical pumps with canister cheap!! for econos!

NAPA has a 3.5 PSI for around $50 usd. I use mine as a booster to start after sitting to long. Make sure you put it as close to the tank as you can and put a filter on the inlet side. If the mechanical quits it will get you home, from experience. 240's and V8's will boil the gas out of the carb when hot. I would put a stock pump on it again.
