I had bought a new one for the 62 and want to move it to the 64 motor and wasn t getting any fuel today. Seems like they may have a slightly difference angle on the pump arm?

There's a difference between the arms on 144 and the 170 pumps, sounds like you may have gotten the 144 version. Are you sure they are both 170's?
