First off, original ones are molded together as one piece. What I see there is just a roll of straight seal which isn't very costly. I had the first gen. pop out window seals reproduced. I sell that outer seal with ends molded together like the originals for $15 each. Why are these so pricey?

    Hi Tim,
Yes sir, you are correct that the OEM seal is indeed one piece, and that little act was going to add a small fortune to the order. When I consulted with Ford and some restoration specialists if it could be done in a strip and adhered together with the proper adhesive, the answer was yes.
Second, 61-67 econoline parts can be found a lot easier as they are more popular to restore than the mids, thus reducing the costs and perhaps creating a little competition.
The seal for the 1st gen was also a little less complex I believe, than the second. I also didn't have the money to get a lot made (would've been cheaper to get several thousand feet, but then I'm stuck with it). I guess this is the price you pay when you're trying to reproduce something very rare and uncommon. I'm definitely not making a lot of money here especially when I'm also using a top of the line rubber.

Just saying -thats high in my opnion!! $150.00 bux for 1 seal X 4 min?? maybe even 6 as some have converted the rear ones too. Most members here i do believe just cant / wont spend that kind of $$ on just rubber seals for windows. I know some have used other used seals from vehicles that do an excellent job on the pop=outs . believe that info is in the archives here!

Manufactured by a company in Vancouver. They do work for the Dep't of National Defence; therefore, for the time being, I won't mention who, exactly.
Yes, 300 beans for 2 pair (4 windows). I'm hoping to also be able to sell a roll (50') which will do 8 windows in the near future for 500 (100 cheaper, but ensures I won't be stuck with the product) and great for group purchases. I'll be listing that soon.
