AN A100 Pickup question. Empty AN A100 Pickup question.

Post by DanTheVanMan Mon Mar 30, 2009 8:06 pm

Still working on the 66 Coca-Cola van but already decided on the next early project. Yep, going after an A100 Pickup... In my search I have found two different A100 PU's. One with rear corner window's and a med. rear window and another without the corner's and a very large rear window. I also notice that the year really didn't seem to matter finding both were produced in defferent years. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Is there a model difference? An option maybe?

    Thanks,
    Dan

The corner winders were an option on all years (64-70). The back windows are all the same size actually.

The corner windows not only look cool, it eliminated that annoying blind spot when backing up.

Thanks Nate. Guess that back window just looks bigger without the corners.... Good to know. This will make my search even harder. I like the corner windows.... Very Happy

The only draw back to the corner windows is if you ever need a replacement..... I kinda like mine with no corners and all flat glass that you can get from any glass shop.

My buddy Brian has been hording them for years. He'll sell a set, but at a premium price.

He even has a factory tinted set.

Through my findings,I've discovered that unless special ordered, most tinted glass was only used with 'air' vehicles.Seems like all others were clear,w/o air. Was air available as option on these trucks? Just trying to broading my knowledge.Thanks.

No sure if A/C was a factory option, but I do know it was a dealer option. Real FUNKY setup too. Most were roof-top units. Looked hideous.

In dash A/C for Dodge vans didn't come about until 1971 with the B-vans.
