Re: progress report
Looks like you have got a good start on it and I bet that 4.3 engine will move it on down the road! I look forward to watching your build!

Re: progress report
In this last pic, note the rod clip for the linkage, it mounts in the 2nd hole and wraps around from the bottom, guard this clip with your life, they are extremely rare, 99/100 for sale have the wrap around part on the side and cannot mount mid rod like the van set-up. The end hole is for the auto trans step down lever, not used with a manual. I found an NOS GM 5-pack bag of them and have a few stashed, but I searched every auto store and online supplier and couldn't find them new anywhere....BTW, nice progress, you'll get there!

Re: progress report
Any progress is good progress!! Sometimes, the hardest thing is to just get out there to the garage and do anything

Re: progress report
Thanks for the replies. When the dust settles, I'll list the parts I can get rid of. For now, I wish I knew how to weld! If I could make everything out of wood, I'd be done already... Thanks for pointing out that clip Vantasia. I'm glad you did because I'm looking at buying a '69 Panel that has carb problems. My carb is a Carter out of my '66 and I was hoping I could put it in the '69 so I can drive it home. I'll be careful not to let anything happen to that part though. So what do you guys think? Both motors are L6's. My '66 is a GMC and the '69 is a Chevy. Are the carb's interchangeable?
Thanks, Sam
Thanks, Sam

Re: progress report
Looking Good Sam ..!!!...The hardest part of any project is getting it started looks like you are moveing right along that 2nd gen motor box will give you plenty of room for that 4.3 plus it gives you some extra metal for the floor... ..
