Stock Speaker Locations? Empty Stock Speaker Locations?

Post by wacko Thu Jun 05, 2008 1:55 pm

Just wondering if anyone can tell me where the stock speaker locations were? My van never had a radio. I have seen where people have cut holes to place them in the front doors but would like to replicate stock locations if possible.

On my 69 there was only a spot on top of the dash. They weren't big on sound back then. Rolling Eyes

dad and i took the stock mount for a 5x7 out of the dash of his '68 impala and put two 4's in there side by side... not exactly stereo, but at least it gives you two front channels instead of just running mono. i did the same thing in a '72 comet.

I've considered filing up the hacked up radio hole, and filing speaker hole.Doors have been cut by,I guess the ghost of Christmas past.Wished they would'nt have done that.I wanna do an overhead thing with 4" on the sides like on my big truck, did'nt sound bad.Put the radios in center.Just in thought stages right now.
