Hi,
I am thinking of buying a chevy van from a farmer we buy fruit from. It apparently runs and is all original and has very little rust being from CA. Curious what kinda stuff I should be on the lookout for in terms or repairs to make sure it is trouble free?? I want to use it for hauling stuff. It has an automatic tranny and I think a 307. It might be a 1970. I have to go down and check it out more and get a vin. It is the model with windows all around and seems to be the longer version they offered. Here are two pics I have of it. I tried to jump start it a year ago since it didn't have a battery in it so I just hooked the wires up to my car engine but the battery cables in the van started smoking! Could be the battery difference since I had it hooked up to a big battery in my audi A8...
Thanks,
Eric
