What is the secret to removing the lite switch & Ignition from the DASH ? I have the cylinder out of the ignition body but I cant seem to make any further progress.

The ignition switch disconnects from the round bezel with a spring-loaded bayonet connector. This is similar to the turn signal lamps. You have to press the body towards the dash and turn it a little. It can be stubborn.
There is a button on the side of the light switch, which when pressed, allows the knob and shaft to be pulled all the way out.

Disconnect the battery our you may light yourself up. Lots of hot wires in that location.

Timely post, I believe I lost a fuse. My radio and interior lights are not coming on.. are they on the same one? Is this the best method for getting to them?..just pulling the whole switch from the dash?

I had to change one, managed to do it in the dash, you're in for treat. I getting a new fuse block when I can get to it.

Here is a pic of the ignition switch. Notice the big spring that you have to push against to get it to turn. Notice the little bump in the top left corner. There is another on the opposite side. These two bumps line up with the bezel and twist into place.
