    Yep, still going HighBoy.

I'm thinking pearl white with some light metallic pewter and candy apple blue w/ a little bit of black for PolarBear2. Don't quite know yet how I'm going to use the colors or how much of each.

    Something suttle........(ish)

What size tires and what rear gear are you running? V8 or 6? Auto or stick? Please refresh my memory. Thanks.

Hey PolarBear, as you know, I'm in San Diego too. Can you recommend someone to paint my van when I'm ready? Who do you use for your vehicles?

Wish I could have been with you guys when Donivan dropped in. Next time. We can compare 700R4 info.

back2thewoods - Do you know what gear ratio your rear end has? Maybe 4.11's? Man, 33's are BIG. I think I'm going with 30x9.50x15's on 8" wheels.

    *******************************

Vanagain - I have a buddy with paint shop up in the OC that paints my projects. My 700-R4 is still in the crate, but not for long!!!!

Almost have my flatbed trailer finished so it'll be time to start on the Van body work soon. Finding a good left rear door was a nice step forward.

I was told by the folks at Bowtie Overdrive to run 4.11's also but I'm hoping with a slightly smaller tire I can go with 3.73's (12 bolt Chevy) or 3.89's (9"). Every little bit helps.

Sorry for changing the subject Embarassed

I'm doing a `72 G20 for my Son and the 2nd Gen is for me. If my signature picture(s) have you confused, they're both out mid-late `70's Van Magazines of the Van I had back then. The Original Polar Bear

I was working on Harrys 70 today. He used to have 3" blocks on it to raise it but had new springs with maybe 5 leafs installed and it has a 4" lift now......

Yep, back in the day re-arching the springs and adding blocks was what we did, probably b/c it was cheaper, but not the safest way to go. Shocked

Now with more money to work with, building new sets of multi-leaf, arched springs is much better and safer. Smile

thanks guys , Is there a point where it messes up the linkage?
or where the top leaf has to be lengthend to still be able to hit the shakles okay? sway bar linkage lengthend? or do ya toss that out? would a 3 inch lift allow me to get some decent 15 inch tires under the rig? Im going to have to start from scratch on my springs ,, they are toast, It has a 5 leaf spring already but rust and time have them feelin' mighty low, I might be able to salvage the top leafs and go from there though.maybe,, scratch By the questions ya can tell I havent been down this road before Question
