When our A100 vans and pickups were sparkly new Did the tail pipes go all the way to the rear of the body ?, or did they exit in front of the rear tire ??

In the service manual and sales brochure it does show that the the tail pipe exiting the back for the wagons (window vans). The pick-up and van exited the side, not clear if it was before or after the tire. Scott...

Factory exhaust pipes - always !!=Exited after the rear wheel wells. This was due to excessive exhaust possibly entering the inside of the vehicle! Posioning & liability when built. Ive know exhausts shops years ago that =would NOT put exhaust pipes before the rear wheels. Same reason factorys didnt install pop-outs in rear window glass-fumes injestion. Today -seems anywhere -yet likely done by the home shop guys and some shops.
