Thanks. I have a nice crossflow but it needs to much space to work right with the plan. Save it for another project!

Bad A$$!!! That's truly unique and you've made it your own. That's what these vans are all about. What makes you happy is what should guide your choices. It's gonna look Fantastic! You're not building it for anyone else but you so go for it! May not be everyone's cup of tea but that doesn't matter!!!

Super cool. Always liked those small tips with rocket ends made for Italian small body sports cars. Some have color inside. In awe of your craftsmanship.

Way cool for a full custom! The rocket look goes with the front bug eye space shuttle styling. I always thought these vans look like something out of Lost in Space or Star Trek, both shows that were popular during the original production of these vans!

Thanks for making me feel so inadequate. You've got some serious skills. Have you ever thought about trying concealed hinges? Pretty sure you could pull it off.

So in the end it will have hidden hinges, front two doors will be suicide and rear will be 2/3 hatch and 1/3 tailgate...with upper hatch having one solid window. side doors will remail stock but hidden hinges also.

I like the exhaust set up. That brake booster arrangement is wild. I struggled with positioning mine for some time as well. This project is really taking shape man.

Bumper on front is the start of a s10 blazer rear bumper being adapted to fit the front original bumper and brackets...it will have finishing side pieces curving to each side. The next step is wiring and a/c...then floor and body work.

Sounds good, I was gonna say these vans look great in metallic copper variations, hence root beer! Did you see this one for some ideas:Heinz57 wrote:I believe the color will be root beer brown and a cream color, have been playing with the idea for a while.

Re: Bagged 1966 G van under construction
Nice! Are you digging the 90* bracket? I couldn't find any 70's vans locally to rip one out of, and ended up going with the kugel 90* for mine. That was after I man handled the universal under the floor bracket and the wilwood 180* hanger pedal. I liked the 90* best. Still don't know what I'm going to do with my exhaust, but I like the rear port idea.
Very cool build thread. Keep it up man!!!!
