I don't know if this has been posted before, but this person did a super nice job on a tailgate for the pickup, and it doesn't look like it would be that involved.

That's looks like a nice solution to the tailgate woes without all the hassles of trying to find one in good shape. Thanks for posting!

Ha! to each his own right. Those tall ford letters are one of my favorite things on the truck!

For sure, I was just reacting to what the guy said about the Ford designers in '62. Very Happy

That's beautiful but one of the most interesting tailgates I saw was in Portland a few years back ... the FORD letters were falling down to the D ... brilliant that ... don't ask me how he did it ... was on a slammed primer p/u

I've seen pictures of that truck on here, or links to, finished. Awesome work, I wondered too how he did it, a lot of work no doubt.

He inverted the axle on top of the springs to slam ... had some blocks in there ...  it looked great but admitted ... tough to drive ...  work in progress at that time ... first time I met the Zeenks Veeks too ... or Old Skool ..... he was a lot taller than I imagined him ...

Yup that's it ... great shot by the way ... I might have been there a couple of years earlier ... still the same though ... I think a stroke of brilliance ...
