I'm psyched, after looking at every "for sale" add I could find. Found exactly what I was looking for.
'63 Econo PU No motor or trans, ORIGINAL paint! very nice body, nice tire / wheel combo, most parts to finish and my favorite color!! Not sure what it is, owner said it's a "Spring special" I think it's a Falcon, don't know enough to tell the difference, like the side molding whatever it is.
Now to get it across the country...

Theres no such thing as a Falcon pickup. Its not a Spring Special either. All of those were 1965 models. It has the side trim like a Spring Special added on. A special would also have a white gauge panel and a white steering wheel plus spinner hubcaps.

I am having transported from Seattle wa. One thing it does not have is a tail gate. I am pretty sure they are hard to find, if anyone has one I am in the market for one.

    Little better pic.

They are around but tailgates in decent shape are pricey.

Very Nice P/U for a Great price!! Gotta be happy with that. What color is on it? The pic's look like it's black but maybe it's that Arcadian Blue?
I'm in the same boat for looking for a nice tailgate, they are out there, just have to find it for the right price.
I'm still waiting for a pic from Vanishing Breed (hint..hint.Mike HA) for the one he got in great shape for a good price. Anyway Congrat's on your new ride, won't take long to fix that one up!

Nice score on the pickup Donn.

I believe you were warned about the contagious nature of owning an Early.

I like the side molding alot (been trying to convince a friend of mine to sell me his extra set but no go at the moment)

Talk to Tim (econousaparts) on the tailgate. He should have something.
What does this mean for the future of the Vans ?

The future is safe..I finished the '67 painted it last week. It looks really good. Hard to sell after a year and a half of hard work but...It is leaving next week. I really need the room now. Taking the '66 4x4 to a friend Monday to check out the motor. Then that go's up for sale.. Buy a small block put it in the pick up. Then ???

    The color is black.
Will post more pic's when see gets here
