Zack used MJM Engines in Escondido,,,,,,,which is Mike at 760 745-4104,,,,they came, picked up the engine, rebuilt it and brought it back to him in City Heights,,,,,,

That doesn't sound good. Should turn freely..... Rod cap or rod mix up??

Well,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,the shop did send 2 guys to pull on the breaker bar and it did turn,,,,,,,they say they use a gritty break in lube to help seat in the rings and its temporary,,,,,I hooked up the battery and his new wiring harness did not burn up,,,,,I cranked the engine and the starter did not break apart so things turned out better than I thought they might,,,,,,he aint happy right now that they want $600 to make up an exhaust system for him, but we shall see how the engine runs and sounds after he gets it all back together,,,,,,,,so I aint putting my engine hoist away just yet,,,,,,,

Today was a Zacky/Jacky day,,,,,,

Zack built a shroud for his radiator and is working on his exhaust,,,,,but is sad that his rims wont fit with his new front disk brakes,,,,,,,and Jacke gave me a personal tour of her latest creations,,,,,,,

Lots of Nice touches in Jacke's van and I especially like that chrome GMC trim thingamabob inside the rear doors!!! The only thing I would change would be the sharp corners on the table in the back...it's a beautiful table but knowing how clutsy I am, my knees would probably bang into the corners and cause a whole lot of cussin'. I would just round them off a bit but it's beautiful wood!!!

I'm also digging Zack's fan shroud...looks like it would help to circulate the air and possibly help to keep the heat down a little bit too!

,,,now that my road trip to Chicago is over,,,,,time to take care of some of the irritations that occurred,,,,1st is from a deer in Arizona that did not use the crosswalk while I was cruising along at 65mph,,,,,, and its looking  like its  back to 90% of what it was and that will be  good enough for me,,,,
