The floats are set too low,,,,,,,,look where the gas level was,,,,,She just had the carbs rebuilt,,,,,,,gas was not even reaching the accelerator pump wells and the cups are all dried out and cracked,,,,,,so she can order some new pump cups and I will reset the float levels,,,,,,,since I am dealing with old gas,,,,,I pulled out my cycles little brothers,,, the Sachs and Vespa,,,,,,might as well clean out their tanks and carbs,,,,,and its about 80 out right now,,,,,,

Glad to see you figured out what was going on...by the way, it hit 70 here today in Massachusetts!!! In March no less. If I didn't have to go to work tomorrow, I'd sleep out on the deck. Great winter compared to last year! Don, what kind of seats are those in your van? They look Nice!

That's one heck of a Deal! Did you have to modify the width or do they clear the doghouse? Just looking for seating options ...

The Chevy doghouse aint in the middle,,,,,its 2" over to the passenger side,,,,,,,,this makes it 22" from the drivers door,  20" from the passenger door,,,,,,,,and the seats sit on the wheelhousing,,,,,so you have to fit seats within those boundaries,,,,,,,,,my seats are 22" ,,,,,,,,so I have to pull in on the passenger cushion to close the doghouse lid,,,,,,,,peoples sure like those 20" Fiero seats with the speakers built into the headrests,,,,,,,so you bolt the seat track to the wheelwell,,,,,,and make some sort of bracket to hold the inner track up,,,,,,,,

I got a nice pair of Dodge Neon seats from the yard for mine and need to make some framing like that for them. They look to fit pretty good. Iirc he charged me $20 for the pair. Been putting it off, but I should get after it. My van already had some poorly made frames for some old seats out of something or another I pitched. Not sure how the new seats would align with the oem frames.

Those seats are similar to how the neon seats attach, but they fold down and bolt at 60-90 deg angle at the front end of the rails

I was able to mount my seats to a flat surface I used the stock brackets mounted on the doghouse, one over and one under, and a length of 1x1 under some plywood over the wheelwell side to make up a box to support the seat, storage in the back and speaker mounted in front.

That looks kind of high, Russ,,,,,,,,biggest complaint is that the seats are too high and they have to smash the wheelwells down to get the seats lower,,,,,,,do your seats have the adjusters on them also?
lets see how thick your seats are,,,,,,,

Thats right,,,,,the accelerator pump cups were dried out and floats set too low,,,,,I just had it for a week,,,,,,to check it out,,,,,,,its missing its heat doors,,,,and since its air cooled,,,,the automatic chokes dont get the right amount of heat and dont act right,,,,and you got 2 carbs,,,need to be balanced and and then adjusted,,,,,I dont know that it has the correct dipstick in it,,,,,,,the shifter shaft is bent,,,,,putting pressure on the seal and it leaks,,,,,,but at least it starts and drove away from my house,,,,,,and thats a good thing,,,,,,,,

,,,,and GRIDLOCK everywhere you went,,,,,5 MPH on the freeways,,,half hour just to get on them and there you sit,,,,,and EVERY freeway I got on and there are a LOT of them in LA,,,,,,but there were quite a few Vintage-Vanners there,,,,,,me and 64chevy guy were there,,,,,Ugly Larry and 66BC sure were excited to be there,,,,,they rounded up the Chevys for a picture after the Fords and Dodges left,,,,,,,,
