,,,,cruised down along the coast today,,,,,,,,,

bought a 40 inch long piece of 5/16 brake line and formed it into a gas line for the monojet on the SuzyVan,,,,,,put one of those spring wire protector in the LR door,,,,,

Don, did you use a bending tool to get that shape without pinching the line? BTW, nice job!

I would've bent that a little more away from the exhaust manifold and all. But if it doesn't create any vapor lock symptoms I guess it's okay? Looks good though.

Its pretty high above the manifolds,,,,,it has not caused us any problems,,,,,and the fan blows right on it and we run electric fans to blow air up from the bellypan,,,,,

had me a VanaRama today,,,,,,

I used a tubing bender to form the gas line,,,,,,and  guess the real reason I put the gas line in like that is,,,,,,,thats where Chevy puts it,,,,,,,,,,,

,,,and the Vanettes, Suzy and Jacke were there,,,,I gave them their next assignments,,,,Jackes van keeps cutting out , so I brought a QuadraJet to show her how to take off the top of the carb and check the float and bowl for dirt,,,,,and since Suzys left front tire is wearing uneven, I brought a spindle and hub to show her what Kingpin bushings are and how to change them,,,,,

I have been trying to cut down,,,,,,,now it costs them a Subway Tuna sandwich for me to pick up a tool,,,,,,,,

so,,,,,kingpin time on the SuzyVan,,,,,,,,and they have been there 50 years and had no intentions of moving,,,,,they would not budge with a punch or a hydraulic jack,,,,,however the ball joint press got them out,,,,,,

Russell was selling stuff at the swap meet, his buddy Dave took the picture,,,,,I found a toy,,,,,,Jacke bought stuff for her van,,,,,,,

so,,,,,back to this Jeep hitch,,,,,,it lacked 1 1/2" of meeting the van frame, so I bought a piece of 1 1/2"x2" tubing to mount it to the frame,,,,,ran carriage bolts down through it and made some plates to
reinforce it,,,,,

Nice professional job! How did you get the carriage bolts into the frame? Go in thru the open end while the bumper brackets were out? How did you keep them from spinning? Drill square holes?!

you can reach in the ends of the frame once you remove the bumper brackets and you have the fuel filler pipe hole as well as 2 others to sneak the front bolts in with bent needle nose pliers,,,,,,I took a square file and made those 7/16" bolt holes square for the carriage bolts to fit in.....
