Going to New England Dragway with my buddies and eating burgers that tasted like they scraped them off the track after burnouts! Burgers were lousy but the Drag Racing more than made up for it!

Most TV's were B/W as were the shows... After watching it year after year as a little one, I was shocked to learn most of the Wizard of OZ was in color!

Re: O/T I remember......
Speaking of old phones, once a few of us went down to the mall and we bought a bag of postachios and we took the empty shells and put them in the change return of the phones. One of the mall security guys saw us sitting on the benches and asked if we had seen who might have put shells in the phones and we said we didn't see anyone. Every last one of us had purple lips and fingertips from the shells...I guess Paul Blart didn't notice!

Dial tones.
My neighbor was telling me about how his granddaughter was visiting and there was an ad on the radio where part of the gag was thge caller hung up and you heard the 'beeeeeeeeeeeeeeep' of the dial tone. His granddaughter had no idea what that sound was. She had always used a cell phone, her mom and dad didn't even have a land line in the house.
