[quote="Dix"]can you tell me were did you get your viser .thanks dix...quote]

    Hey Dix,
Checked your Profile and assume you have a Dodge A100/108. The visor I got from a flea market. The seller told me it came off a 1965 something... And it had clearence lights on it. I offered him $5 for it just for the lights and got it... Yep, a deal, anyway when I got home I thought I would check to see how far off it was from fitting. At the time I was just curious. But after setting it on the van thought hey, this does look cool. It of course did not fit but was about 4" too short. Check the pic's. It was all fiberglass so I went to work on it. It is correct for a mid 60's van/truck but have no idea who made it or where it came from...

Dix, It's one of those "Projects" that takes time and you work on for an hour every few weeks or so because it was not made for this van and the mod take some creative thinking to get it to fit correctly... The center section is taking some work but will get it smoothed out in time.......

I just bought one off of ebay not too long ago... the ad didn't say what it was for but when I got it I found markings that said "80 ford PU." It's real close to fitting but will have to do a little trimming...I don't think it'll take much to make it look like it was made for it... I'll post some pics when I get around to fitting it.

Hey Dan... from your pictures it doesn't look like there is any airflow at the top of the visor... Looks snug to the roof. Do you have any problems with it catching the air as your going down the road?

Those pic's were taken while I was still trying to "Get it right" the final mounting will have about 1" opening all the way across the back. Thinking the flutter on this baby would drive anyone crazy. For as long as it would last before ripping off....

I've noticed your visor lately,Dan.That is unique, different, & cool. You gonna put one more light in the center, like the big trucks? 1-3-1.Not suggesting, just wondering.
With the lights on the visor, instead of the roof,at least you dont get the reflection/glare on the windshield like the heavy pick-ups do.
I like it Dan,you did good bud.

    Moe,
When I first got the visor (For $5.00) it had the 5 lights but one was broken, otherwise I would have them all. Who knows. If I find just one at the flea market later on, I can just add it to the center......

Think I got the spacing right. Wasn't sure if one inch of venting would be enough but gave it the 75 mph test and she passed without any fluttering or vibration. cheers

Aerowhat????? On an early aero is not even a consideraton when you're already driving a 6 X 7 foot piece on steel and glass into the wind. Soot that visor probably added 2 mpg.

    Moe,
Think I'm good but thanks anyway. It didn't flutter at 75 mph with only one mounting bolt on each side and one in the middle. When I get done it will have three spaced accross the back and two on each side. Don't think any G10 can go fast enough to create enough lift to pull out seven bolts. Time will tell.... bom And if later it starts, I have a "Plan B" Vent Mod. just in case....
