Hi all, I recently bought a '63 falcon that had a couple bench seats included but not attached. I was wondering if anyone who has original rear seats could post a pic so I'd know if these are correct for this van. I plan on doing a build thread when the project gets started but need to finish another truck build first. Many thanks and love this forum!

There was a member's falcon for sale below. His name was Vanhaulin. There is a pic of rear seats in it and they look to be original. If you look at the link in his ad, you can see a photo of the seats. You can Private Message him by clicking on the triangle next to his name and you'll get a dropdown list. Just choose private message and you can ask him if those seats are original ones. Hope this helps and welcome to Vintage Vans!

Go to his last entry and there is a link to the pics.

This is a factory seat that has been recovered to match the front.
I had to make the brackets to attach it, and the bolts go through the floor (unlike factory).

Re: Rear seat photos needed
Thanks for the replys, I can see now that I do not have the correct seats for my van. I believe I read a post where someone said Ford Aerostar seats fit well and would fold down to a flat surface as well. Maybe recovering some junkyard seats to match the front buckets is the way to go.

If you are willing to do some work on the mounting just about any van seat will fit except for the rear seat out of a 15 passenger. I have one out of a 97 conversion van that folds flat. Best advice is take measurements and sketch out where you want the seat. Measure and sketch the areas where there is clearance for mounting so you don't get a seat where the seat legs can attach without interfering with anything. The parts yard will be your oyster!powerwgn wrote:Thanks for the replys, I can see now that I do not have the correct seats for my van.
