Re: van crazy 65 chevy
I built a booth the last couple days I started a little fiberglass and soon relized paint wasnt happening with out it. Now I can control the dust and over spray through the whole process. It works great and im hoping for a professional finish. Im running 2 turbine 8" fans for the exaust they really move some air I plan on cutting 2x2 filter holes for venting front to rear.

Re: van crazy 65 chevy
Looking Great VC! Are those spaces in the drip rail to allow the water to drain so that it doesn't build up and eventually rust? That's looking nice and smooth! Nice piece of work!

Re: van crazy 65 chevy
No I have to install the connector strip still little piece about one inch wide bent over and under I didnt want to leave the factory piece on there this way it wont bleed rust in the future.vanny wrote:Looking Great VC! Re: van crazy 65 chevy
That's a major amount of effort and your making it look good !! I hear you on the drip clip, I have a tiny streak of weirdness under one, either from rust or paint stripper residue.

Re: van crazy 65 chevy
Lots of sanding every thing was done by hand I really hope for a "SHOW SHINE" this is my first. At this point I hear its all about what kind of gun I shoot it with the paints got to go on right or everything I have done will be lost in the sauce.vanny wrote:Looking Great VC! Re: van crazy 65 chevy
Is there rubber grommets for hinges on the front door skins and body? Or are they on the cargo doors only the cut is a bit different from side doors.

Re: van crazy 65 chevy
Most of the vans I seen don't have hinge gaskets on the front doors(holes are bigger then S&B doors) They used sealer on them from Factory. Front door(& everthing else) looks Great ,Ton of work as you said. You ever find the Sportvan emblems you were looking for??
