NO I DISCONECTED THE CABLE.I CAN SPIN THE BACK OF SPEEO WHERE CABLE INSERTS WITH MY FINGERS AND THE NEEDLE WILL MOVE IN THE DIRECTION IT SHOULD BUT ALLWAYS FALLS PAST "O" OT WHERE YOU SEE IT IN PICS.ANY THOUGHTS HANDY? Bill

I guess you could try and push the needle backwards down to 0 and see if it stays there or take 2 spoons and slip them under the needle and pop it off and reset it to zero...

I would test it out first. In operation, it might return to 0, just in removing it, it spun backwards (which wouldn't be likely if it were connected to the cable???). I've swapped a few, and don't think I had to worry about it.

THAT WAS EASY
KUDDOS DON,YOU WERE RITE.THE PART OF THE SPEEDO THAT ADVANCES THE NEEDLE WHEN THE MAGNETS ARE SPINNING INSIDE IT HAS A STOP BAR FOR SETTING IT AT "O",JUST HELD IT AT STOP POINT AND GENTLY ROTATED NEEDLE TO "O"
EASY FIX.NOW I CAN ONLY HOPE IT'S STILL CALIBRATED.SHOULD BE SINCE I DIDN'T TOUCH THE TENSION SPRING AJUSTMENT.TIME WILL TELL
