Yeah theres atleast two tires that dont look flat... Probably ATLEAST 10 good lug nuts!

Wheel wells, rocker panels, leaf springs, dash board, instrument cluster, steering column, nose. Lots of good stuff!!!

the rockers are full of bondo and I have removed the instrument cluster since I took that pic. except for the engine cradle, front axle, rims, and steering column i'm just cutting it up into chunks that I can pick up and haul to the recycler for a few dollars. i'm going to hang onto the body panels, incase someone needs an upper panel for tree damage repair.

Tom had to leave early, somehow I got a trophy for Special Intrest for the 68 G-20??
The show was for the youth groups of the Church & they did all the voting(kind of cool to see them taking intrest in Vanning & cool cars)

Very cool Tom ! Those kind of shows are fun to do. Our local "carshow' season doesn't really start until this coming weekend. Meanwhile I have had no time to work on any van stuff but have been driving mine back and forth to work and Saturday cleaned it up and did a little TT cruising in the afternoon. Had some of those "used to drive' and gear head convos.

Finally got it home last night. Now the real work begins. Hoping to get it road-worthy in time for Bakers!

still at it, not as much latly. i drive a cement mixer for a living, summers r busy. hard to tell , but got the stero system in.

Looking nice Wylee. I hear ya on the summertime busy.The 64 barley gets a " I need to get.." as I walk by it right now.

The surf was crummy today so I put in new front wheel bearings and adjusted the steering gear box. When I was making left turns and ran over any kind of little bump the passenger wheel seemed to be making a "that ain't good" sound and I could feel a clunk. The new bearings seem to have taken care of that, much smoother ride now. I gave the steering box adjuster a half turn then tightened it back up for the test ride of the bearings. Pretty much all of the steering wheel play is gone:

I don't know how perfect it can get, still not like a new car but greatly improved, it had gotten to where it was a bit annoying to drive around. I guess I could give it another quarter turn the next time I have the front end jacked up.

Went to a Volkswagen show yesterday in Woodburn, Oregon at the drag strip there and as always saw some really cool cars,





But there was an auto there I thought you guys would all enjoy,

been busy with a friend helping to put this back together. body was, other than fresh paint nothing else on it first weekend of may and this is saturdays photos.

right after i remove a bunch of tire from its running surface i'll take a couple shots. 4 speed would be more fun but can go to the other duster for that. and then theres the 440 duster......
