I know an old school hot rod builder that has them and I have been trying to talk him into selling them to me for a while now & I think I have just about talked him into letting them go. Does anyone know a fair price to offer for them? I don't want to pay to much but also don't want to offend him with a Low Ball offer. It has took me a long time to get him to the point of letting them go. I am really only interested in the Valve Cover but he said that the only way he would even consider selling them would be together.

Thanks Chris,
I know if anyone would know it would be you. I am well aware of the old saying that it's worth what you are willing to pay for it but I don't like to pay a lot for anything.

6 cylinder stuff brings top dollar. i consistantly see used parts selling for close to cost of new, and sometimes for more! an aluminum valve cover is 189.00 at summit and i searched for a year before finding a used one 'reasonable' i paid 50.00 plus 25. shipping for one from a mercruiser, chevy 6, and had to strip and repaint. i know it would bring more than 189.00 on epay if i listed it. you could easily get 125.00 back from the intake

wow, guess he finally lowered some prices. last i looked, he had smooth, no fin valve covers for ~ 300.00 and looked like someones weekend project. p.e.s. marked on them. only 25.00 extra for an oil fill hole? thats optional! good thing gas tanks dont come like that!leghorn01 wrote:Check Autowerks.com Looks like they have them in several configurations starting at $140.00
