Have you tried one of those vinyl repair kits from permatex part number 81781? I think they include everything including the graining paper.

yeah, i used those kits and they work well but the grain across the pad wont be consistent unless i have essentially a grain paper that can cover the whole pad. anyone know what or how the proffessionals do it or a resource for proffessional supplies?
