    I see some vans and pu's have dash pads. Did these come out in a certain year, or just for a certain model?

    They look nice, but seem hard to come by.

    They were available all years, 1961-1967. Mostly in the high-end window vans.

    Yes they came on pickups too. By 66 I believe they were a mandatory safety item

    believe standard equip om 1967 & up.Safety reasons!! also on the G vans -1967 -70 im told the repop truch dash pads fit?? I havent tried one yet -but will this summer.

    Definitely mandatory on 67 models for the pad. The padded glove box lid was only mandatory if the vehicle had a passenger seat installed from factory. I personally havent seen a 66 without the pad so the change may have been a 66 thing before it actually became mandatory in 67,just a guess.
