As hell. Cyls 1,3,4 all have 150 compression. Cyl 6 only gets 100. Cyl 5 keeps pulling the damned rocker loose so who knows. And the best of all...cyl 2 with a total of zero. So much for the engine supposedly being rebuilt!

Anybody close to Memphis got a decent 250? LMFAO

I agree with donivan pull the head off have a valve job done resurface it and tell them to install screw in rocker studs and you will never pull a stud out again.and make sure you are not setting the valves too tight also..................................................................................... A Rebuilt engine with 10k and 5 hours away sound's great I would look into that for sure if the price is right. I had a 454 Chevy engine shipped from summit racing in Georgia to Florida about 5-6 hours( if I drove) for $ 165.00 Shipping may be cheaper than driving just in gas alone.

take .060" off the head and you can gain a full point in compression, still cheaper than a new motor. i do have a rebuilt 6 with less than 10k on it but shipping would probably be a deal breaker.

Shoot some oil in Cly 2 see if the compression rises at all. If not you may have a valve that is stuck open.

Why do you think this is a rebuilt engine? are the valves adjusted correctly? if you wanted to analyze the engine you should get a Cylinder leakdown tester that puts air into each cylinder and tells you how much leaks out,,,,and if it is excessive, you listen at the tailpipe, and carburetor to determine if the valves are leaking,,,,,,watch the coolant level to see if the head gasket is leaking and listen in the oil filler hole to hear if the rings are leaking,,,,,I have pounded those studs down and drilled and put a roll pin in it to keep it from pulling out,,,,,,,but you got a lot of options of repairs depending on what you have more of,,,, money, time, or brains.......

Did a leakdown test of a friend's 200,000 mile Ford Fairmont, got to #3 cyl and the dipstick popped out of the tube! All I could say is 'Guess we found the source of the miss!'

Ya...i hooked an air hose up to #2 and heard it hissing thru the intake and Carb. So, I've pulled the head and took it to the speed shop to get reworked. I hope it don't take too long to git-r-done. They needta pull all the rocker studs and put new ones in too cause at east one...probly two...were pullin out on their own.

Maybe loose rocker studs were the only thing Jasper forgot to check and fix,,,,,,,however,,,,,,the head needs to be flat,,,,with no cracks,,,,,hardened valve seats installed,,,,valve guides not worn,,,,valve springs still good,,,valves have to seat tight and new seals installed,,,,,,and rocker arms not worn,,,,,,,,so lets see what they find,,,,,,,,and check.......

I am no expert...but it looked like all that was done, if anything, was a quick and dirty valve job. Don't think it had hardened seats put in...but maybe they are there under the gunk...lol...but doubt it. The rockers all had decent wear marks/grooves where they sit on the valves. Probly needs everything new. Valve seals were definitely leakin on two cyls.
