MY FRIEND 59CHEVYMON (JOHNNY), WAS GOING TO BUY IT FROM ME BUT FOUND ONE CLOSER TO HIM SO I ENDED UP KEEPING IT AS I REALLY DIDNT WANT TO PART W IT IN THE FIRST PLACE! HE POSTED A COUPLE PICS IN THE G10 TOPIC I BELIEVE? ITS A GREAT VAN NOW HE AND I BOTH ARE HUNTING FOR TRIM ACCESSORIES ETC AS NEITHER ONE OF US REALLY KNOWS THESE VANS BUT WE LOVE THEM AND ALWAYS LOOKING FOR KNOWLEDGE. THIS SITE IS GREAT!! sorry about the caps, i dont really pay attention to that, guess i should.honestly i dont know what these vans came with back in 65 as far as trim and accessories if any? any help is greatly appreciated. i do need a belly pan for it. i see people say 1st generation or 2nd generation? how would i tell the difference? thanks

If you find the VIN plate on the door post near the drivers left elbow,,,,,and,,,,,, IF,,,,it says G1266P,,,,,,you got a genuine 1966 Chevy SportVan,,,,,,and they come in 3 flavors,,,,SportVan, SportVan Custom and SportVan Deluxe......so see what you got......did you buy that White one?

i had bought it and sent johnny a pic of it that day. he was on me for DAYS to sell it to him so said ok. he found one closer to him so he decided to get it as the shipping would be more cost effective for him to florida.im glad it went the way it did as i like the van to go rip around in!!
