Hey guys I was wondering what you guys think of these two vans? I am pretty interested in both of them but just wanted to hear what you guys had to say about them before I made a move. Thanks

They both are a "Wanted "size. I know if they were near me I would be looking at them also. To many the solid side door would be a bonus and the bay windows in back would be a minus. I have only owned one 3rd gen Chevy van and do know however once rust becomes an issue it's not much better on these than our Earlys. Think I would aim for the least amount of rust between these 2 options. JM2C

Thanks for the advice man, much appreciated! That'll probably be my deciding factor now. That, or which one is maybe willing to drive out to me if I can't get a way to Brooklyn haha.

So I asked the guy with the 75 G10 about the rust and he had this to say "The front wheel wells have rust through. The lower sides had the rust taken care of a year ago. The rear door has rust, but I have a pair of rear doors to replace it." So what do ya think?

I think it would be to hard to tell without actually doing an in-person look see. There is no real frame so rust might be a more hidden issue going by what there is already. Toss it out on this site. They are on top of the newer vans, values and what might be problems. http://www.vannin.com/threads/ubbthreads.php

I have had 6... 3rd Gen Vans my 75 Chevy I still have after 32 years your best bet is the 1981 for 3k the body looks way better and sounds more road worthy...... usually when someone spray's Bed Liner or Under Coating on the ouside panels  its to hide poorly done body work or hide major rust I am from Rochester NY and when all the rockers and lower panels are rusted out it means usally the frame, floors, doors, have the same issues for the extra $250,00 you will be saving a lot of future re rust issues and head aches.. Smile ........Most all vans have the same issue so if you DO look at the 75 look at the rear spring shackles and the frame, floors, above them ....................GOOD LUCK.......JOE VAN............
