Re: 2nd GEN column in 1st GEN van
,,,,,I'm right here,,,,,,the 2nd Gen uses a 1 piece shift lever shaft, while the 1st Gen uses a 2 piece shaft,,,,,,but bottom line is they both fit the steering box,,,,,so if you get a 2nd gen steering column,,,,,get the whole column and the lever assembly off the steering box and the shift rod going back to the trans,,,,,

Don, Do you have picks of all the parts that are in the upper gear indicator area on the 2nd gen shifter. I've got one here I am trying to piece together and don't know what all I may be missing.

[quote="donivan65"]This is the set up from a 1970 with a factory TH350 trans,,,,,,the needle got a spring to hold it in place and there is at least 1 snap ring by the needle
I am piecing this auto column together from a pile of parts!
Anyone got a part number for this spring?
Also anyone know if a spring goes at the bottom where the rod inserts into the part goes on the steering box?
