i am new to the van scene and me and my dad are restoring a 66 g10 van, there is a couple questions i was wondering if someone could help me with? i first saw a key hole on the outside of the van behind the door,(i think it's something aftermarket but not sure) also there is a bag underneath the dash, we think that it's for a heater or windshield washer fluid, but might be something different, and last is a button and pull switch under the dash beside the steering wheel? i'll post pics as soon as i can. thanks

    Welcome 66, absent of pictures:
The bag under the dash is the window washer fluid bag.
The hole in the door if it is not the key cylinder hole, then it must be some aftermarket (possible locking device)addition.
Ill wait on the pictures for the button and pull switch under the dash.

    Hope this helps!

If the wires from the button/pull switch plug into the harness going to the steering column it's the 4 way flasher switch. If it's stock the knob on it should be red and will screw off with a light inside the pull switch.

I agree that the key next to the door is probably an aftermarket item, most likely an alarm switch. Very common in the 70s. If you have access to the back (no interior panels) see if a couple wires are attached.
The bag is likely a washer bag.
The switch can be stock or aftermarket. Pics would help.

If the bag is full of pot it's definitely aftermarket!
Hide it from dad before he figures it out.
Do not pull that pull switch, I agree with vanner,
Good luck and welcome to vanning.

Not sure if it was local, but that brings up a good point. Someone needs to tell Rod to go back to that pet store and buy all the catnip they have. If he hasen't already. Good stuff! ~ GK.

Laughing That's not my hand, it's just a pic from the net.

AZ has recently passed a medical MJ law, but it is being held up by the elected for various reasons in various ways.
Heck, it's still a felony here, according to NORML
    http://norml.org/laws/penalties/item/arizona-penalties

MODS, if this is too political, please delete it.

It's not going to be at the local pet store for a while...
