Hi I have just bought a 1965 Econoline van that is missing the engine and tranny but it had a 240 in it and has the 9" rear end.
I also have a low mileage Fuel injected 460 and overdrive tranny out of a 1997 f450 that I plan to install in the Van
I Have not brought the van home yet since we have about 2 feet of snow right now and it is in a friends back yard
Still have to get it home so I can take some measurements but would like to move the engine back a little for ballance but am concerned about room for a reasonable driveshaft length with the long transmission
I will log the build as I go and if anyone has done simillar conversions I would love to hear from You
Some may feel I am ruining a classic van but it is a rust free straight van that would have gone to the crusher if I didnt buy it
