Tom at Langdons saya a weber 3236 will NOT fit on my G10 ... HELP

Does anyone have a weber on their G-van ?? can i see some pix ? Tom says i can mount it sideways BUT i would need to make custom linkages for the throttle. He says i do not have clearance to mount it the regular way. HELP !! i am in need of a carb and i want a new one but from what ive read on here the re-man'd monojets you can get from autozone, pep boys, o'rieleys .... etc pretty much suck and leak and i'd still be stuck with a lil one barrel carb. Anyone have any other suggestions on a carb that will work ??
