I am all about "to each his own", but for me the quickest way to ruin the aesthetics of these old vans is to change out the steering wheel- especially if the owner goes smaller!

These big rigs were meant to have a nice wide diameter steering wheel with a gaudy horn button in the middle. The small aftermarket steering wheels just make them look like cheesy toys.

I feel the same way about stock wheels and hubcaps, but that is another thread.

I've learned to double and triple check parts info I've gotten from summit.

There is always a place for the restoration minded in the hobby, but for me I walways hated how close my knuckles would get to the door.... lol

Get into the grant site - they have made these adapters since time bagan- ive used them on all my chev van & pu projects. Likely they will also have a toll free # - so ask & get threir part # for ur applocation - then to summitt. Ive got a couple adapter kits in the garage now -just its snowed in = affraid Sad

a steering wheel adaptor for a 66 model gm
prouduct should get the job done, the turn
signal switch is different from 67 and newer.
65/66 impala should be the one for the first gens.
