First time posting from a new guy here! I have a 66 first gen and am looking for ideas, or links to photos of changing my fuel filler neck to a door style.
I have a welder and all the necessary equipment, just looking for what others have used to get this modification done. I like the site alot, good guys here.

I believe this is from an 82 chevy PU, I like this style because they lay flat.

You probably will want the inner boot as well.

The original fill neck is ona different angle, but You can cut and reweld the tube to make it fit, at least thats what I did.

The new tubes are larger and you would have to adapt them to the 1 3/8 fill on the tank and add the vent tube in there also. One way to do it !
    And welcome aboard !!

I plan on making a trip to the local pick a part junk yard in the next week. Thanks alot for the lead on what to get. I will post pics of my progress soon. My van runs and drives really good, was redone about 10 years ago. I also have a daily driver A108 Dodge van.

Welcome to Vintage Vans!!! There are a few different model Chevy fuel doors that I have seen on our vans from square to round ones. I like the round one that Digz posted the pic of. I think it would come more to looking that it could of came from the factory than the square doors.
