Brake Fluid Reservoir Empty Brake Fluid Reservoir

Post by Rayallen Wed May 16, 2012 11:17 am

Guys im at a stand still at the moment on my Brake job.

As you know ive converted my front drums to disc and now have the dual master cylinder in place, both D&D products.

My last step is to install the remote brake fluid reservoir but I have no idea which to use. Those who have done this conversion which reservoir and lines did you decided to go with?

Im concerned about leaking and pressure related problems and want to do this right.

Just got back from pick n pull and bought 3 remote reservoirs. They all came off of a early 90s Nissan Quest mini van and will work perfect. Im keeping 2 for my self. 1 for my current van and another for the future Econo truck I plan on buying. The 3rd is up for sale if anyone needs it let me know. I will only charge what I paid and you take care of shipping.

Ray, can you post a pic of the Nissan part. I used one off of the earliest Toyota van. The Nissan reservoir might be a better fit.

Sure will Carl, Will post a pic later on tonight. Right now I have mine zip tied to the E Brake so that I could go ahead and get my brakes bleed. My dog house is still out..

Whats also cool about these reservoirs is they also came with the barbed nips that fit perfect to the top of the reservoir. I will post a few pics to show..

Here are the pics you requested Carl, so you know you can get them off a early 90s Nissan Quest or a Mercury Villager. Apparently Mercury Villagers were running a Nissan power plant the same as the Quest.

The the fitting fit perfectly into the top of the reservoir and I have to holes I can drill into the dog house to attach. Perfect!
